Justin Monk
Aug 20, 2014Justin Monk first started getting into Props and Costume collecting in 2001, around the release of Star Wars Episode 2. I was on my own, in college, and able to branch out and find something that really interest me and was fun. I ended up doing alot of research into making my First Jedi Costume, joining forums and looking at websites. It wasn’t until I wanted to do a Star Wars Fan Film that the prop side of things started to REALLY interest me. I have always been a creative person, pursuing a career in Graphic Design, and loving to create things, as well as research minute details. Getting things right is a passion and a love, as well as hair pulling and exasperating. Since getting started, however, I have joined a number of groups, met some fantastic like-minded people and have had a blast creating, recreating and collecting some of the coolest costumes and props from some of my beloved series. On display at the CNE you will see a number of items that mean alot to me. Several Screen used pieces from Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, my incredibly long journeyed Anakin Skywalker costume, my heavily researched Tenth Doctor Costume and props and more!
