Lights, Camera, Richmond Street
On Set at George Brown Polytechnic
An industry-calibre space for a community-driven event.

The Toronto Prop Expo is hosted at the George Brown Polytechnic School of Media & Performing Arts, a dynamic hub for storytelling in film, television, and digital media located in downtown Toronto. The school provides students with access to advanced facilities, including motion-capture stages and immersive AR/VR labs.
Notably, the campus features a 2.5-by-5 metre LED volume wall—a virtual production environment similar to the technology popularized by shows like The Mandalorian, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, House of the Dragon, and The Batman. This setup gives students hands-on experience with cutting-edge production techniques and makes the venue a fitting home for an event celebrating props, costumes, and the craft of practical effects.
